What is visa on arrival?
A Vietnam visa on arrival (VOA) or Landing visa is an alternative way to obtain a visa for Vietnam. Instead of applying at an embassy or consulate, you can submit an online application to obtain an approval letter. With this letter, you can pick up your visa upon arrival at a designated Vietnam international airport.
Applicants are mandated to obtain a visa approval letter, also referred to as a pre-approved visa letter or visa invitation letter, through a local visa agent in Vietnam. Subsequently, this letter is utilized for obtaining a visa stamp on the passport upon arrival at the airport, rather than having the visa affixed to passports in advance of the trip.

- Stamping fee: This fee you pay to the customs officer when completing entry procedures into Vietnam at the airport upon landing.
Type of visa | Service fee | Stamping fee |
---|---|---|
Single Entry (1 or 3 months) | USD 20 – 30 | USD 25 |
Multiple Entry (1 or 3 months) | USD 25 – 45 | USD 50 |
